executing the Project Center for Applications of Mathematics
announces the recruitment of
foreign lecturers* for a series of lectures
on Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Methods in Physics
- Date of lectures: 12-14 December 2013.
- Place: Gdańsk (Poland).
- Requirements for candidates:
- PhD in mathematics, physics or related science;
- scientific experience in the scope of the subject of the lectures, documented by the list of publications;
- proposing an interesting topic of the lecturers, connected with the main subject (theme of lectures + short description of the content, at least 150 words).
- Candidates should submit the following documents:
- scientific CV (including the list of publications);
- completed application form for lecturers.

- The call is open from 14.11.2013. Application deadline: 26.11.2013 (till this day we shall receive candidate’s application).
- Date of announcing the results of recruitment: before 02.12.2013.
- The lecturer will be chosen by the Scientific Council of the Center for Applications of Mathematics. The criteria will be candidate’s scientific experience (according to the CV and publications list) and the proposition of the subject matter for lectures (originality and matching the aims of the Project).
- The lecturer is expected to chair a thematic workshop within the conference “Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Methods in Physics”, which includes own tutorial lectures, a session of talks and individual consultations for the participants, as well as to prepare materials to be published on the web portal of the Center for Applications of Mathematics.
- The lecturer will be awarded a remuneration for covering the costs of travel, insurance, preparing materials and giving lectures in the amount of 9 600 PLN (approximately 2200 Euro) minus 20% tax. The accommodation for the stay in Gdansk will be provided by the organizers of the Center for Applications of Mathematics.
*a foreign lecturer is meant to be a person who has been working for at least 5 years in a research facility located outside of Poland
